Latest research from Recycle Now reveals that almost nine out of 10 people now recycle.
However, 55% of households put items in the general rubbish bin that can be recycled, including plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles and cleaning and bleach bottles.
Recycling is easy, and something we can all do at home. Check your local council website for more information about what can be recycled in your area.
It helps the planet and helps tackle the climate crisis too.
18 million tonnes of carbon dioxide is saved every year by recycling- this has the same impact as taking 12 million cars off the roads.
