1. Promoter
· This promotion is run by Waste Less South Yorkshire in partnership with The BDR Waste Partnership and Biffa. For any queries, please contact: BDR.Events@Biffa.com
2. Eligibility
· To be eligible to win, you must be a resident of Barnsley, Doncaster, or Rotherham Council areas.
· Entrants must over the age of 18. By entering, you are confirming that you are over the age of 18.
· Entries from outside these areas or from individuals under 18 will be invalid.
3. Promotion period
· This giveaway is open during the ‘Promotion Period’, which runs from the time of this post until 31st May 2026 at 23:59.
· We reserve the right to alter the Promotion Period at any time.
4. How to enter
· To enter this giveaway, you must do one of the following during the promotion period:
1) Online by filling in this form (https://forms.office.com/e/NfQk5ZG2X0)
2) By emailing your name, what area you live in (Barnsley, Doncaster or Rotherham), and a contact telephone number to BDR.Events@Biffa.com (Subject line: Hotbin giveaway)
· Entry is limited to one entry per person. Any additional entries will be disqualified.
5. Prizes
· The prize is a Hotbin Composting Hotbin Mini (100ltr) Plinth Bundle.
· The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.
· The Prize will be delivered to the winner at no additional cost.
· There may be some delay in receiving the prize due to postal service delays, supply issues or issues with the manufacturer. We will aim to keep you updated as much as possible.
6. Winner selection and notification
· One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries within 7 days of the closing date. Our decision is final. The odds of winning will vary depending on the number of eligible entries received.
· Winners will be notified via email. If we do not receive a response within 1 week, we reserve the right to offer the prize to another entrant.
· Winners may be asked to participate in publicity on social media and on our website.
7. Data protection
· For the purposes of applicable data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, the data controllers of this promotion are Waste Less South Yorkshire and Biffa (together, the “Promoters”).
· The Promoters will collect, and process personal data provided by entrants (such as name, address, email address and telephone number) solely for the purposes of administering this giveaway. This includes verifying eligibility, selecting a winner at random, contacting the winner, and arranging delivery of the prize.
· The lawful basis for processing entrants’ personal data is:(a) that it is necessary for the performance of a contract (i.e. administering the giveaway in accordance with these Terms and Conditions), including verifying eligibility, selecting a winner, contacting the winner and arranging delivery of the prize; and
(b) for the purposes of the Promoters’ legitimate interests in operating and promoting the giveaway, including announcing or publishing the winner’s name and/or general location (e.g. town or council area) and sharing limited winner information for publicity purposes on websites, social media channels, or other promotional materials.
Where personal data is processed based on legitimate interests, the Promoters will ensure that such processing is proportionate and does not override the rights and freedoms of the individual. Entrants have the right to object to such processing at any time.
· The Promoters may share the winner’s name and delivery details with third-party suppliers strictly for the purpose of fulfilling and delivering the prize.
· Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to administer the giveaway and fulfil the prize, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymised, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
· Entrants have rights in relation to their personal data, including the right to access, rectify, or erase their data, and to restrict or object to its processing. Entrants may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

· Automated entries submitted by individuals or organisations will be disqualified. Any attempt by an entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different identities, registrations, logins or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified.
