Teriyaki Pork burgers

A fabulous, quick and easy fakeaway from our Love Food Hate Waste chef, Clover Hutson.

 

We're all trying to cut costs without giving up the food we love, these tasty fakeaway teriyaki pork burger recipe will please the whole family without breaking the bank and is ready faster than ordering a delivery.

Prep time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

1 small carrot grated
1 courgette grated
1 small onion grated
400g of pork mince
A jar of teriyaki sauce

 

To serve:


4 brioche buns
1 mini gem split leaves
2 tomatoes sliced
Chilli mayo

 

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl add the grated vegetables, mince and a good pinch of salt and pepper and a spoon of the teriyaki sauce.

  2. Mix well, working the mixture.

  3. Now form into 4 patties.

  4. Warm a frying pan with a little oils and cook the patties 3/4 minutes either side.

  5. Once they are cooked brush over a little more teriyaki sauce.

  6. In the bun add a dollop of chilli mayo, lettuce, burger and tomato.

  7. Enjoy with some slaw and a side of curly fries.
